replacing front bumper
Hi guys, first post here.
So wife and I just bought a 2007 328i sedan..because it was raining that day and lots of raindrops on the car, didn't notice there were some dents on the edge of the front driver-side bumper under the headlights: http://ww3.ldvis.com/inventory/uploa...=480&width=640 What are my options here for fixing it? I'm thinking: a)replace the whole thing through bmw (super pricy i imagine) b)buy the bumper primed (http://cpwstore.carpartswholesale.co...versal:0)&sv=0), get it painted and then replaced c)get it sanded, bondo'd, and repainted I live in the SF bay area. What would you guys recommend and what do you think each option would run me? Appreciate your input, thanks! |

I would replace the entire bumper. People on here are always upgrading. Some have swapped out here standard E90 bumper for an MTech bumper. Look/Ask around on the forum to see if anyone is selling standard OEM bumper and buy it from them, who knows may even be your color. Me I would just replace it with an MTech bumper.

No you are replacing the Bumper Cover not the bumper(the piece behind the cover). A painted cover should run you about $350 or so, new. I know AC Auto Parts sell them in that price range, painted.

Really? 350.00 painted is an amazingly good price. How do I get in touch with them?

Well what do you guys think of this:
http://cpwstore.carpartswholesale.co...Listing+Page:1 It'll probably run me ~$200 after tax/shipping, then plus paint job, that's probably in the $350 range, right? |

Looking forward to them, thanks.
On another note, my wife just took it to the bmw dealership for the first time to check its service records (we bought it from an audi dealership). Apparently the car comes with a 100k mile extended warranty + maintenance that we had no idea was included! (it's at 45k now) sweet! AND this is after the guy at the audi dealership had spent an hour trying to convince me to buy THEIR extended warranty for this car. Good thing I was firm in saying no. damned salesmen... |
