New Guy!
Hi there new here. Cool place you guys have.. I'm not new to BMW's but I'm finally getting hooked on the wagon trend so I'm in the market for an E91.. I built this audi earlier this year, and now I'm looking to pull the trigger on a black 2007 328xi Sport Wagon 6mt with saddle brown interior..
Anyone out there have any great pics of their modded E91's? I'd love to see 'em.. My Audi gives me the chills and I wanna build an E91 that does the same! So far the plan is to add Coil Overs, Staggered BBS LMR's(if possible with x-drive) and MAYBE an M-Tech or M3 Replica front bumper.. but.. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks! Welp, I guess I'll have something interesting in store for you'z guys in a month or so.
Can you elaborate on the staggered wheel thing.. I was told you could run staggered wheels on an AWD car, but something about tire sizes.. yada yada yada.. and I was lost.. A3 S-Line? Where? That's an S4 Avant. A unicorn. Here's a better angle. Not my garage. That's the Schulz family garage. |

Gorgeous Audi. However, if you are doing an AWD, I wouldn't do a staggered setup. Get all you can out of the grip and try and run a large square setup, hehe.

So let's say for example I'm not too concerned with grip at the moment, is there a way to do it?
Eventually my function over form mentality will lead me to get a square set up... but I love options.. so.. |

Check the rolling diameter... a lot of AWD cars come with staggered setups direct from the manufacturer nowadays. AWD has come a long way, especially in the past few years.

Red - staggered is actually OK on these cars. I know it's a sin on our Audi's, but for some reason, even the dealer recommended to me a staggered setup on my xi.
Cheers~ --Adam

Different size wheels and tires create different weights/rotational mass on different parts of the drive train [F/R]; doesn't that screw up AWD?
Maybe it's ok on the xi because it doesn't use mechanical LSDs? I recall a thread recently where someone said BMW doesn't use LSDs in the E9x anymore; and it's done via electronics/braking - if that's the case then a staggered setup on X-Drive would [in theory] be fine because you're not screwing with a system that relies on mechanics or physical parts to make it AWD. Just a thought. I like to post thoughts. Even if they sound dumb. I'm not smart. |

So does anyone know what size tires I'd need to run in order for it to work?
The wheels are 19X8.5 19X10 I'm kind of concerned with the 10" rear wheel fitting okay without rubbing.. I'm putting the car on c/o's You and me both. The Countach sucks to drive though, I promise. Wacky ass gear box.. |

I think this would work:
235/35/19x8.5 Front, and 265/30/19x10 I would suggest sending a PM to one of the vendors on here to ask their suggestion on your setup. They can give you the proper info, and make suggestions on tire sizes, etc...

Welcome, nice Audi. You should definitely get an E91 and mod it! It won't be as fast as the S4, though. In the US, the E91 comes with no turbos only.
The 335i coupe can come stock with a staggered set up.
