Afriad to ask the question
Picked up a new 09 335ci. After 1500 miles the car sometimes turns over for a couple of seconds before starting? Is this the famous HPFP going bad?

People need to do some search before buying a car and being all butt hurt about it not being what they thought. you made the wrong decision if you want reliable car and bought a 335i. been repeated so many times but gotta say it, GOTTA PAY TO PLAY.

Doubt it. I have long cranks 20% of the time and have had no HFPF codes thrown. Car starts fine every time, just sometimes cranks longer than others.
