Hidden Service Menu Unlock not working ?

Hi,

I have a E90 with CIC, build date in May 2009. I tried to do the following steps to unlock the service menu, but nothing appears for me.

Is there a specific screen to start from ? I start from the main menu [I assume this is the start menu ?] (press the menu shortcut button), and then do the following:

• Call up Start menu
• Push controller in up direction for at least 10 s
• Controller 3 notches to the right
• Controller 3 notches to the left
• Controller 1 notch to the right
• Controller 1 notch to the left
• Controller 1 notch to the right
• Press controller once
• The Service menu is now added as the last submenu to "Settings"

When I press the controller at the end, it enters whatever menu I am on, but nothing is added in my menu "Settings".

Anyone managed to make this work ? Do you do this with engine on ? off ? key in the dash (I have comfort access).

Thanks

Yes, works every time.
Have tried with engine ON & OFF - no difference, works both times.
I do not have comfort access, so my key is always in the dash.

What is your software nav version?

Mine is a June 2009 E92 and it works without a hitch...

Controller just means the main big centre button of your iDrive control.

Controller 3 notches to the right:
This means rotate the centre button clockwise through 3 clicks.
Controller 3 notches to the left:
This means rotate the centre button anti-clockwise through 3 clicks (notches).

I hope its clear now....

Haaaaaaaaa I was doing it wrongly ! I was pushing the controller to the right/left and not rotating it... Probably why it was not working for me. I will give it a try tonight.

Thanks for the tip.

I could not understand your question.

If you mean you want full screen navigation (instead of split screen), just click on 'Option' button and uncheck 'Split Screen'. This will toggle between full screen & split screen.
