Who finds them selves uncomfortable I'n their e9x?
Is it just me and my cantstaystill syndrome? I never had this problem I'n any other car or my e46. In my e90 with sports package seats I catch my self changing the setting everyday. Which then causes me to adjust my mirrors. I noticed that it might be because of the long play of the clutch pedal. How do fellow e90posters feel I'n their e90?

No problems here. I fiddled with the seat adjustments for the first few days after I got the car to get it just right and haven't touched it since.

same here. I find myself moving the seat closer to the pedals during aggressive driving, but that's about it.

My sports package seats/car fits me like a glove. The loaner i just got the standard seats however is VERY uncomfortable to me. No support anywhere.
the only time i have to mess with my settings is if i'm wearing more clothes or if i have a lot of people in the car.

The sports seats feel great. The standard ones feel like domestic garbage though =/

I was uncomfortable for the first month, maybe 6 weeks, and I also adjusted the seat every time I got in the car. However, I finally found the sweet spot and have done a few 5+ hour drives without a problem.

I guess it's just me ! Deffintly going to buy the bump stop behind the clutch .
I also notice that when I do find a ok position to sit I'n I can't see the stop of my gauges because of my steering wheel As my mom says I guess I just have ants I'n my butt and can't stay still !

I too, did take a while before I find that sweet spot, try many different setting, finally find one that I like, I am sure OP will find his soon, just keep trying. I do wish there are more lumber support.
However, I did find the spot seat a bit "narrow", I moved the bolster all the way out and thats fine, but if I try to move it a little closer, they feel pinching my back somehow, wonder how some larger driver feel? BTW, I am 5'10" and 130 lb, so I shouldn't have any issue fitting in to the seat, so am I missing something here? |

I find the top of my hair brushes against the headliner on the E92. Wasn't a problem in the E46. Had to lean the seat back further than I liked. The overall ergonomics was poorer in the E92 than it was in the E46 Ci, despite the E92 being much larger.

steering wheel does not telescope enough. when the seat is far enough back that my legs are not at a funny angle (especially the gas pedal), then my arms are way to straight. Could be that I dont like to sit so upright or I have short arms, but I believe it to be a steering wheel travel issue.

^ agree...If I could get that wheel to telescope an extra 2-3 inches I'd be pretty happy. I like a proper driving position so I'd prefer a bit upright, knees slightly bent and a decent bend in my elbows. But since I'm 6'3" I run into all sorts of issues. Seat too far forward means too much knee bend. If the seat is upright as it normally should be, my hair hits the roof. If I slide the seat back, my legs are comfortable but my elbows are too straightened and not conducive to proper driving. I've had my car since June and I am still frequently uncomfortable even on 15 minutes drives. Even if the freakin seat would lower some more, I'd have solved most of my issues because then I wouldn't have to recline the seat back so much. It also looks painfully juvenile driving with the seat reclined more than it should be.

It took me exactly 3 minutes to adjust everything when I went for a test drive in the car. I bought it and immediatelly saved the seat settings. Never had to adjust them until I got new seats

The steering wheel is a problem for me since I like to slightly rest my wrist on my legs while holding the steering wheel

I used to sit low, and without lumbar support...it gives me back pain, so I keep the seat at the highest level now...and as far back as I can ...the steering feels livelier when I sit farther away (feels less lively when i'm up close to thw steering wheel). Try to feel the difference between sitting low and sitting high...try both and find that middle ground. I also wished I had lumbar, then car would be comfortable. Its amazing that even a 100 K Panamera doesn't come standard with lumbar support. I thas to be special ordered. |

yea, agreed. Pretty poor and aesthetically displeasing sport seats. The E46 M3 seats and even the vader seats in the E36 M3 are so much better than the sport seats in the E92. Like you said, the seat isn't deep enough across your torso. If I use the lumbar support or the side bolster support, it's as if the seat squeezes me out of the chair instead of into it. And I'm not a fat dude who has no business in these seats to begin with. These seats feel like you're sitting on a bulge and have to fight to stay in it.

Be sure to set the Seat Memory for each adjustment you do or it'll just be resetting to the old position each time you get in. Maybe that's why you have to adjust so often? !:>)

I feel like you! At least once a week I find myself playing with the lumbar support the bucket seat setting, pushing the seat a little forward or backward, etc. Then, of course, I've got to play with the mirrors to match. I don't know about others, but I wish the position of my mirrors in my 07 335 were able to be saved along with the seat positions.
