HPFP software update lag = fix with procede?

I am going to show my true n00b colors here but bear with me.

I have a 2009 335i that is exhibiting the long crank HPFP issues. I have read that BMW is issuing a software update to try to correct this with varying reports of success. My biggest concern is the reported lag after the update.

Is everyone experiencing this lag?

I have a v4 Procede and am curious if the Procede will override and/or compensate for the lag introduced by the new BMW software.

I will take the Procede out before going to the dealer, but do I need to take out the Injen DCI as well? Will they reject the HPFP warranty if they see the DCI installed?

I need to get all of this done before I go into more significant mods (IC, downpipes, exhaust, etc..)

I had the update and for me, nothing noticeable has changed. The logic of the dealer service person was that if another HPFP is needed they want the update
done first.

Don't risk your warranty. Put everything back to stock before going in.

The new HPFP software update has nothing to do with lag.
It just primes the fuel pump before you start the car so there's nothing to worry about.

Sorry but u r completely wrong. Like tons of other members I started getting lad after software upgrade. Also the was AT shifts changed. I was little rough from 2->3. After update it is smooth from 2->3 but very rough from 4->5. Also car has a very rough start in the morning. It gets even worse if I don't drive the car 2+ days.

Unfortunately all of us have to go through this soon or later
