HPFP software update lag = fix with procede?
I am going to show my true n00b colors here but bear with me.
I have a 2009 335i that is exhibiting the long crank HPFP issues. I have read that BMW is issuing a software update to try to correct this with varying reports of success. My biggest concern is the reported lag after the update. Is everyone experiencing this lag? I have a v4 Procede and am curious if the Procede will override and/or compensate for the lag introduced by the new BMW software. I will take the Procede out before going to the dealer, but do I need to take out the Injen DCI as well? Will they reject the HPFP warranty if they see the DCI installed? I need to get all of this done before I go into more significant mods (IC, downpipes, exhaust, etc..)

I had the update and for me, nothing noticeable has changed. The logic of the dealer service person was that if another HPFP is needed they want the update
done first. |

The new HPFP software update has nothing to do with lag.
It just primes the fuel pump before you start the car so there's nothing to worry about.
