active cruise control

I have a CPO 335 coupe and am looking to put an aero front lip on the car, but it looks like there are different part numbers for the lip depending on whether I have active cruise control or not. How do I know if I have active cruise control? Im guessing the best way to do this would be to put the cruise control on and test it out to see if it slows down when I near a car from the rear

Thanks

You probably don't have it.

Set the cruise on 70mph and get behind a car that's going 65mph. If you crash, you don't have it.

If you have it, there will be a pretty big and obvious radar "eye" in the center lower grille opening of your bumper. It's a pretty rare option, so you most likely don't have it.

Active cruise control adds a a toggle on your cruise control stalk right in the middle. If you don't have it will say OFF in the middle instead of a toggle that looks similar to the settings of the automatic windshield wipers.

This is what it should look like if you DON'T have active cruise control:

Here's a link to what you'd see on your console if you're behind a car with cruise engaged: http://www.bmw.com/com/en/newvehicle...e_control.html

I got it on my car; great option.

Yes, this is the giveaway. Toward the passenger side of the center lower grill you will have a -very obvious- radar transmitter/receiver.

I actually have the 2001: A Space Odyssey option. It gets a little unruly at times. I asked him to not crash into the cars on the interstate. His response? 'I can't do that Dave' Who the heck is Dave? I'm Jay!

Loved it...the only thing I had to pick was the safe distance was still too far in SoCal standard (even set the distance to minimum - 1 bar)....
then tonnes of car kept over took me (i was doing 80)...and then they slow down...so the computer slows the car down too...WTF?

That's my only beef - the 1 bar leaves too much space. I never use 2, 3, or 4 bars.
