I have an LCI E90 328xi non-sport package, but I do have 17" style 285 wheels and the car was purchased new. Why don't I have chrome window trim? (I am definitely NOT lementing this fact, however!!!) I thought you had to have ZSP to have black (shadowline) trim??? Am I missing something?

I thought chrome window trim is only standard on 335i or 330i and wasn't available in all package for 325i or 328i.

Correct. But if you look closely, the 328i w/o Sports Package have the matte black window trim, the 328i w/ Sports Package have the high gloss black shadowline trim.

yeah, guys...sorry. I was under the erroneous assumption that all LCI non-ZSP E90s had chrome window trim and that upgrading to the sport pack gave you the black trim. a quick trip to bmwusa and build function quickly clarified. moreover, my car doesn't have shadowline trim, only matte black trim. so at least I learned something!

thanks for your input and the clarification! (It does strike me as odd that the 335 would have what I would consider less desireable trim option unless you get ZSP...but I guess that that is just my opinion and some like chrome...ew. Then again, I would never buy a 335 without either sport or M sport pack...so it is a moot point). Toodles.
