N52 Engine Stalling

Buddy of mine has a new Z4 with the N52 (that's the naturally aspirated mag engine). He's continued to have problems where it stalls when he turns and pulls out into traffic. Shop can't duplicate it. He hasn't had bad gas.

It's worth noting he's had BMW's for 20 years and Porsche's. He has pretty solid knowledge on cars.

Anyone had similar issues with a 3 or Z4? Suggestions?

To clarify, does it happen only when turning and accelerating? Is it left/right dependent? If it is, is it possible that the pickup tube for the fuel pump has moved to be very close to the wall of the tank and is getting blocked?

I have replaced a few air intake pipe's on 325i's and 330i's due to small rips near the throttle body, very hard to see (on a E46 anyway) acts a vacuum leak because it is after the MAF sensor and they would stall at idle or low speeds.

try looking at the crank sensor it can go bad with out giving you a check engine light and can cause the sudden stalling
