2011 528i (F10)- Thoughts and suggestions greatly appreciated
Hi guys, I finally got my F10 and have done a few mods to it.
- 35% all around Solar Guard window tint , 50% windshield. - 20" Vertini Hennesey 20x8.5(fronts) 20x10(rears). - H&R lowering Sport Springs - Xentec HID 6000K (lows, highs and fogs) - Magnaflow exhaust axle back with 3 1/2" tips by Royal Muffler. That's it for now, any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks |

It looks super clean! I never liked the chrome on the window trim but with your wheels and the door handles it's perfect! Great job with the mods so far. Not much else you need to do.

Awesome.
I have also ordered a 528i sapphire black. After looking at yours I really wanna do mod like yours (wheels, tint, drop and etc). I also have the original window trims and front grill. Just a few questions: -Is yours jet black or sapphire black? -Your trims are the chrome or the satin ones? -Note you have your fins next to the fog lights changed to black, how did you do it? -How much drop did you get for the H&R? Cheers |

dam. i wish the 528i i will purchase in the future looks like that. Is H&R only one that makes springs for 528i? Do you have to change struts also?

Thank you for the compliment. As far as I know H&R is not the only company that has produced springs for the F10, H&R, RD Sport, Eibach, and Hamann all have F10 lowering springs and I did not change the struts, all I did was switch from the stock springs to the H&R and glad I did.

where did you get the Xentec HID 6000K (lows, highs and fogs)? Did you install it your self? if so was it difficult?

You should sell it. Then get a white 550 m-sport, some 20" DPEs, and 3D design front lip and trunk spoiler for starters. Oh, and a Meistershaft exhaust.

Beautiful, congrats! Ok question time:
1. Exhausts look awesome. How much, if I may ask, and is it an easy install or do you need to modify the bumper as well? 2. Did you have halogens or did you just not like the stock xenon? 3. Is 6000k absolute white or does it have a bluish tinge? Happy with Xentec? 4. I am considering a 35% tint too, does it totally darken the window? I'd wanna go lighter, maybe just a bit.

Crazy Vatos Locos!! The OEM "style" trunk spoiler was put on the car after these pictures. Quote:
1. The muffler install was a very basic, no modification to the bumper install. The only thing that had to be done was to remove the stock muffler and weld on the new magna flow muffler . DONE. The whole deal was about $250- $350. I don't recall exactly. 2. The car came with halogen headlights. I removed the halogen bulbs and installed HID kits. 3. 6000K has a very minimal bluish hint to it but depending on the watt output of your ballast. If depends if your using 55w or 35w it will be mostly pure white or have a bluish hint. If you have 35watt output there will be slight blueish hint , however if you use 55watt, the intensity will most likely wash out the blue and make it pure white. However, If your looking for pure white without messing around just go with 5000k. 4. IMO 35% is too light. Especially with the type of window that the F10 comes with which have a slight bluish tint to them. I'd say 20% or less is the way to go. However, if your not a dark tint kind of guy , then I'd say 35% all around is just perfect for riding under the radar from the po po, giving your car a bit more attitude and staying cool inside the cabin. |

Thanks, much appreciated. I'm still waiting for delivery and the exhaust mod seems tempting. I already have the gloss black performance grills to replace the stock chrome ones.
I have opted for xenons but the forum feedback seems to give the impression that stock xenons are slightly yellowish, so I'm considering my options to go totally white. The 35% in your car appears much darker than I would like but maybe that's just how it appears in photos. In Karachi having dark tints is slightly more complicated, legally, so I would like to go for the lightest possible tint, which slightly darkens the windows for that subtle "cool" effect without really concealing much of the interior.
