breaking problems

had my front pads relpaced with new OE pads from bmw. now when i press on the brake it feels like its missing something because when i put the brake pedal down it feels its hitting something like there is lose connection or something, it comes and goes but now the ABS light comes on when the pedal feels bit different. had the pedal box changed last year because the clutch pedal got stuck half way so i dont no if it's the pedal box is playing up. it only started when i got the pads changed recently.

People should really make an effort to spell properly. Spelling and grammar should be a prerequisite to success.

How does one obtain a performance vehicle at such a young age (1987=birth year?) without considerable marketable skill?

I would just take it back to BMW. If they messed it up I'm sure they can fix it. I'd consider having the brakes bled. If your fluid is getting old, the moisture that is absorbed by the brake fluid will lower the boiling point of the fluid and allow it to start to boil out the water / form air bubbles in the lines when your braking system starts to heat up. This results in a brake pedal feel that is inconsistent, might feel "notchy", or make creaking / clicking sounds. The problems almost always occur after the car has been driven for a few minutes. I've absolutely had these issues with other cars in the past and flushing the brake fluid fixed it every time. Just something to think about / check if you don't wanna just dump it on BMW's door step.

There is no word "brakeing" - even in the UK. So he apologizes for mis-spelling "brakeing as breaking.

The OP has no command of the English language and feels it is OK to insult people - his attitude (not his spelling or grammer[sic]) is the reason he is not getting any help.

I just wanted to push your buttons a little. But seriously, you should make an effort to correct the mistakes that you know you make (or are pointed out to you) or else they aren't innocent mistakes anymore. You become someone who isn't interested in proper spelling and grammar, which will seriously haunt you later in life. Seriously.

One last thing, I don't really know how to help you with your brakes. Sorry bud.

You certainly have a good sense of humor, despite all the ribbing you're being subjected to. Good for you!

Glad you got the problem figured out.
