I know the new V8 will be amazing and all, but honestly that clip doesn't show anything. It sounds just like every other hi performance V8 out there.

Since the M5 is getting a touring version in 2007, the M3 might as well, since it is getting a Sedan too.

Best regards,

Jussi

M3 Touring is on hold, due to major problems they have had with the M5 touring and its rear axle

Personally, I'd prefer to see only a Coupé. Even the Sedan undervalues and trivializes the M3 in my opinion. But that's just my opinion. And the M5 Touring, even though it was available in E34, they could also have forgot about that one, it's ridiculous in a way, takes away from it's sportiness and enters the world of Mercedes AMG Touring wagons. But, more money for BMW, the better.

Best regards,

Jussi

I have this clip's sound as my phone's ring sound. Ok, not really, but I can't get over this sound.

Hehe, somebody has the same idea as me. I've had the current BMW model's sound as my ringtone from the time that I bought my first s60/symbian phone that could play mp3 ringtones. Currently I have the 130i revving up pulled from the www.bmw.com mediacenter. It made for pretty hilarious time while around at the BMW dealers over here, when everybody started wondering if somebody had started a car inside the the dealership and was revving one up, since it includes the ignition sounds too, hehe.

Best regards,

Jussi

Riddle me this, riddle me that. Thats the question that everyone is arguing over. Which will be faster. My person opinion is that the e92 m3 will be faster to 80mph and then the m5/m6 will easily pull past, up to top speed.

I have to agree. I am sure that the V8 M3 will sound marvelous, bit, it's no Ferrari! Let's be real.

Without the flat plane crank it would be tough for a BMW V8 to sound like a Ferarri V8.
