is it possible to re-wrap the steering wheel? i saw someone did it but i asked two upholstery shops and they said it was not possible

Anything is possible with $. Why wouldn't someone be able to unstitch the leather and re-wrap it? Seems simple...

Perhaps what they meant was that it is not possible at their facility and that it is not possible for their staff to do it.

Of course it's possible. It may become a question of wrapping the existing wheel vs. removing the current wrap and putting on a new one.

Have you been unable to find a ready-made steering wheel that you like?
