I think in 87 that car was more than 50 large.

What is he asking. A well maintained M6 can run upwards of 15 grand.

a good M6 can cost more today than it did new in 1987 (w/o inflation)

my uncle had one, he paid 57k for it i believe. It was an amazing car. I wish he kept it. he said it was more stable at 140 than it was at 130. His biggest regret was selling that car. Very nice find!

It did not have a price listed on it, I was leaving so I did not go back in to ask. I saw one not too long ago for 24K, with about 70k miles. this dealership is pretty pricy so Id say it's close to that.

Nice car BTW, love the color.

Looks like somebody put a BMW logo and a spoiler on a Peugeot 505.

That was one of the BEST looking cars on the road back then and I still think it's great looking.

The ugly US spec bumpers don't help. The European bumpers were much nicer and made the whole car look different.

Strongly concur on the bumpers those close tucked bumpers make the car look much better.

the original M6 and M5 are one of the future classics...

I also think the E30 market is one that is going to go up.

I never thought about adjusting for inflation....all the more reason to purchase one if you have the time to care for it.

LOVE the old 6's. My buddy had a 635csi back in the day. That car had a little bit to do with why I feel in love with Bimmer's. Sadly someone rear ended him and totaled the car.

On an interesting note... why am I jealous of that dash?

oh wait. Because the stitched leather is definitely way nicer than in my car 23 years later

Really is a classic, and hey if you bought it you could put the European bumpers on it.

as far as the wheels go, it doesn't look like they're CSLs, but more the E39 M5 wheels.
