Post How did this gap in the market come about?

To me it's becoming increasingly obvious that there is a gap in the sports small coupe rear-seater market. It's so tight I feel suffocated trying to come up with a viable purchase that I will enjoy.

It's a bit ridiculous when you think about it. I could sit here with £45-50k, and not be able to buy a car that meets my rather simple wants:

sports performance
exotic looks
small footprint
rear seats

The problem maybe didn't exist until recently when manufacturers started making their cars larger (like the M3).

I know some 2014 we will have the fully fledged 1M. But until then there really isn't much out there. Bit odd when you think about it.

Why does it have to be new?

I suppose you missed the rear seats stipulation?

Given that, does a TT-RS count? It's certainly not much of a rear seat, but technically, it does have one.

Bit like a 911 - fine if you want to stuff a pet in there for a short journey I do need a proper rear seat an adult can sit in every once in a while though..

Yeah the Evora!.. I'm just not sold it completely. Would love to have a bit more choice.
