So I was washing my wheels today and when I got the passenger side rear wheel to clean the tire I realized a had a little less room for the brush then I thought I did on the driver's side. So I walked over to the driver's side and it def. looked higher. So I got out a measuring tape and sure enough, the driver's side is about 3/8 of inch higher. So I thought maybe it's to compensate for a driver so I had it measured while I sat in ther car and it was only about an 1/8 of an inch higher, but I'm not a very big guy. I also thought maybe the passenger side is lower b/c it has that monster battery over there. Or possibly thats not right at all and something is wrong.

This could be really dumb and maybe it's supposed to be like this but I'm not sure so can someone shed some light on this for me?

ground level isnt flat maybe??

Its how its supposed to be. Been documented many times, not sure why, but ppl state its to balance out the weight of the driver.

It's the same in the UK and it always seems to be a 10mm (3/8") discrepancy and higher on the left-hand side of the vehicle.

Unfortunately, not much of a re-assurance for us as we drive on the right-hand side of the vehicle so, whatever effect BMW set out to compensate for (i.e driver's weight in a sole occupancy vehicle), the problem is effectively doubled for right-hand drivers.

I have asked BMW(UK) to provide an explanation; the silence is deafening!
