Why Not
Why Not, I have always been Partial to BMW Blue and White. Will look nice with those M3 Wheels. If you don't like it try another color. Did I get that right, M3 wheels?

If I had the BMW Perf brakes I guess I would have to live with yellow - but I really no likey.
If I had Brembo's I guess I would have to live with red - but they stick out too much IMO I like either Black or Silver Calipers, but that's just my opinion...

Pretty ez to imagine - just think big brite blue objects setting behind those mostly open wheels - your calipers will be the 1st thing that catches a person's eye.
If that's what you're looking for, then that's cool, it's your car afterall & and everyone has different likes/dislikes. I prefer mine to be painted/powdercoated over the raw metal - but want it to be subtle. I have aftermarket Baer GT Big Brake Kit on my T/A and they came pwdercoated in Red only. A little too eye catching for me, but I was stuck with it. Red doesn't look too bad on black car and I use red/silver accents thru out as my color scheme, but still stands out...

I say black. Blue might look weird with your cars color.

I'm not into the blue paint but that's my opinion.
If any paint, I like the black because it's the cleanest look.

Performabuilt is a good tranny - I actually have a Rock-On Stage 3 with Yank 3800 2.5str verter in my T/A. Never had a problem with either. Do you have anything done to the LT1?

My first thought for painting my own calipers was something like red, but now I'm convinced that gloss black is the way to go. IMO it looks different, classy, but not looking like I'm in my teens or 20s.
Any thoughts on the best way to prep the calipers? Brush off loose dust, clean with ???, and then final clean with brake cleaner? Best paint to use? |

[QUOTE=lciaccio;7946480]I want to paint my calipers on my 335i.
any thoughts on colors? I think red is too much for this car. Im thinking BMW blue!! Sorry it wont look good. Red and black are the only color's I'd go with, although I prefer black. Just have them painted black and you'll be good to go. |
