Replacing shocks on 06' 330i with sport package....
Any suggestions on replacing the factory shocks on my 2006 330i / sport package? Looking into the bilsteins..but unsure if anyone has any experience with these.

I've run Bilsteins on every car I"ve owned since putting them on my '89 535I in '92...I put Koni adjustables on that car first and one of the fronts started leakin fluid from the adjuster knob shaft...Koni demanded orginal reciept to prove I was the original owner..and of course after years I couldn't lay hands on it...so I went to Bilsteins...sold that car with 130K miles on it and they were like new...
I had Bilsteins on my VW's for between 120-130K each (both HD and Sports depending on springs used) and no issues..rock solid till the daze I sold those cars...so it will be Bilsteins again when I'm due for shocks. FYI: Bilstein tech guy told me valving was the same between HD and Sport shocks...only difference is the Sports have 25mm shorter shaft to handle sport spring sets.... |

If you replace with Bilsteins, they will likely outlast your car. OEM is likely from Sachs (anyone confirm this?). Also, BOGE makes a less expensive OEM-style replacement. |
