Will these rub? - Part 2

I appreciate all of your help and input.

Car - 330i standard package, standard everything

Tires - 245/40/18

Wheels - 18 X 8 Front / 18 X 8.5 Rear

A few have already said "no problem" and one has said "might rub".
So...... this newbie is still unsure.

They will not rub as long as the wheels you are using are the correct offset. What are the offsets of the wheels you will be using?

Staggered Style 162 wheels

Will my setup work and if so, will it look okay and not too big/wide for my
330i?

The 162s are not too big in anyway to use on your car. They are standard issued sizes that BMW offers for their 18 inch OEM wheels. You will have no problems using those wheels on your car.

So no issue with the tires being all 245/40/18 either?

Thanks so much for your help!

The 245 will be kind of big on the 18x8. Standard issued tire sizes are 225/40 on the front & 255/35 on the rear.

Understood... but will they work? No rubbing or issues?

I unfortunately cannot give you a definite answer as I have not installed that tire size on an 18 inch wheel on the front of a e9x body.

Why do you want staggered rims but non staggered tires? Why not just get 1 wheel and tire size all around? I don't understand...

I have a potential deal to get new tires in 245/40/18 at 35% off regular price and also a good deal on 162 wheels, which are staggered.

As per our conversations via email I cannot say that the 245 in the front will not rub as that's fairly aggressive and the recommended size in the front is a 225/40/18. You may be getting a good deal on the 245/40/18 tires because it's an odd ball size especially for the fronts. Do it right and go with the 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 and you'll save yourself a whole lot more headache in the long run.
