Spacer Installation Cost

How much does it typically cost for a shop to install spacers?

Just install them yourself. It should only take you about 15 to 20 minutes.

Is it just a matter of removing the wheel, slapping it on the hub and reinstalling the tire? I couldn't find a DIY on it. I thought you have to permanently bolt on the spacer so I thought you have to dismantle the hub to remove the original bolts, etc. If it is just taking off wheel, I can do it myself.

In some cases the hub may need to be sanded or cleaned to ensure proper fitment...

What is the difference between the spacers that are bolt on to the hub vs those that requires longer bolts? I see that the ones that bolt on are more expensive. Are they supposed to be better?

This thread reminds me of my wife and our neighbor's wives...they were so amazed I replaced our sink garbage disposal myself in like less than an hour.

They were all like, wow, my husband wouldn't even considering doing that. I'm like, I don't even think about it, I just do it...simple enough.

Then I said, well I can come over and service you also...something your husband probably fails at too. haha One of them has beautiful implants and a nice ass, would hit...but I digress.

Should I keep the spacers on when switching over to winter tires on OEM 16 inch rims or it doesn't make a difference.

I feel like the ones that bolt on are better. They seem safer.
