anyone running stock zsp springs with koni yellows or fsd?

is anyone running stock zsp springs with aftermarket shocks? im highly considering this. i would prefer not to get springs because they lower the car a little too much for my drive way (even prokits). i have about half a inch of clearance gettingin and out of my garage... so i dont want some scrapage on my piping and all. so i would like some feedback from anyone if anyone is even running this kind of set up. thanks

This is about the only suspension upgrade I'd consider so I'm also curious to hear from those that have done it. Lowering the car is really not an option for me either.

I am getting koni fsd shocks installed this week and keeping the stock zsp (sport) springs. I will let you know how it is.

I am putting the BMW Performance shocks on my stock zsp springs, I will do a review after the install. They are sitting in a box in my closet right now

For $133, cant beat the price.

Koni FSD are installed on stock sport springs. Ride is a great blend of performance and comfort. Minimal body roll in turns. Car feels new again with 92k miles.

I installed the FSD's with my sport suspension over a year ago and if I had to do it again, which I will in the next year or 2, I would have installed the Koni Sports (yellows) instead. The FSD's are certainly more comfortable than the oe or Koni Sport dampers, but I can feel the transition from compliant to firming up in the curves. I've also driven a 335i zsp with the Koni Sports and the handling is more immediate and precise than the FSD's or oe dampers.

OP: If your roads aren't terrible and you're running non-rft tires, I'd go with the yellows; either are an upgrade over the crappy oe dampers imo.

Aftermarket shocks such as KONI FSD or Yellows will work perfectly with your ZSP setup as they're meant to be an upgrade for your stock shocks! I'll shoot you over a PM with more details!

Mind sending me some deets as well... 60K on my 330i and it's gonna be time for shocks soon, I'm definitely thinking FSD (Bay Area roads are not kind to the ZSP)

TIA.

Just put them on, initially i disliked them. But it definitely improved handling, and the road feels more firm. Can't beat the price, great cheap upgrade.

Koni Yellows over ZSP springs

I also did the M3 rear control arms and complete Tischer M3 package. Finally tore out the trunk liner and got the yellows set right. 1.5 turn front, 1 turn rear. NOW the car feels right. Highly recommend. I am gonna drill a 1" hole in the trunk liner so I can adjust the rears as needed, maybe another 1/2 turn front and rear for the track. Making a koni adjuster by squeezing the end of a replaceable bit screwdriver into an oval. Good luck!
