Koni Yellow rear adjustment?

Anyone figured out how to get at the adjustment on the rear shock without tearing out the trunk liner every time? Make a long thin adjuster out of tubing and drill holes in the liner to run it thru?

I'm fairly certain you must compress the shock to adjust which is why you must remove it. It's not like the fronts.

Not the yellows. I have a knob for the adjuster on top of the shock. Just can't reach it.

Very clean IMO. I think you'll need to cut the long Koni adjuster and hack a rod on the end to make adjustment.

I just cut a flap on my rear carpeting and lift up the flap when I need adjustment. I may go the way of Mr. Rick Hunter's method.

They MUST be compressed to be adjusted. Its a pain in the ass to have to remove them to make that happen. Dont let that little knob looking thing confuse you.

Whats the negative affect of adjusting the front to a stiffer setting and not adjusting the rear? is this bad or what can happen as far as handling? or does it help at all? just wondering. I love how mine ride, but would like to see what a little stiffer will do...

It's not necessarily negative, it will affect the balance of the car during transition. typically, making the front stiffer will increase understeer (or decrease oversteer). It all depends on how balanced your car is before the adjustment. Changing spring rates will make more of a difference, but adjusting the dampening can help fine tune the balance.

That adjuster tool is just for the fronts. The rears must be removed and compressed to adjust.
