New Vancouver Member! :)

Hi All!

Just wanted to introduce myself as a new soon-to-be fellow 604 e92 owner! I just placed an order for a 2007 335 e92 that is scheduled to be built in Feb 2007 with delivery estimated at late-March/early-April 2007.

Can anyone comment on how "good" BMW is with their estimated delivery dates? That is, are they normally early, late, or pretty accurate with what the dealer says?

Looking forward to meeting you all!

You should be fine. Mine was extremely off (October order-still waiting) but I think I got caught in the year-end delivery black-hole vortex. My previous BMW the delivery was 7 weeks after order went in

welcome!

my car was right on, if not earlier. they guide you through the process pretty well (via the 800#) so you'll always know what's going on. except when the car gets released to the carrier. it's kind of tricky to track what's going on on the ship and thereafter.

good luck!

Welcome to the forums Shamu - good to see another (future) E92 owner in Vancouver . I placed my order back in late September with Brian Jessel BMW, and they said the estimated delivery date would be in early December. I actually received my car on November 30th .

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

My bro and I actually ordered the cars at the same time -- both slated for Feb 2007 production. It sucks that we don't have as much tracking capability as they do in the States, but I did receive the "Production Numbers" for both cars over the weekend.

Now the waiting begins...sigh...

BMW is pretty reliable. It is the weather and the long distance that these vehicles have to come that plays the factor. All BMW's produced in Europe arrive in Halifax, then they are put on a train. During the winter months avalanches, heavy snowfall, etc. can affect the shipping times. Generally speaking the estimated arrival dates are pretty good. It also depends more on the actual production week of your car. It could be beginning of Feb or end of Feb. That is a 3-4week difference. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
