2006 330i OEM Tire Poll/Questions

I have a service appointment with my local dealer on Friday to in his words "submit a claim to BMW" concerning my displeasure with my factory tires on my 2006 330i which are Bridgestone Turanza EL42 RFT. I have read most of the posts concerning these tires and I was wondering how many people have actually had their dealer replace their tires at no cost and at how many miles did the tires have on them?

My tires have 17,000 miles on them now and the tread does not appear to be severly worn, but as many others have posted, around 12,000 miles they began to sound like I was driving a F350 with super swampers!!!! I was wondering what kind of chance I actually have of them actually replacing them for me??

Don't get another set of those turds! Even "free" is no bargain. Be happy you have put 17k miles behind you and buy some real, non-RFT tires.. you won't regret it.

I ditched my RFT's after 2500 miles.

as i mentioned in this thread, i am now trying to fight my dealer and bridgestone for way premature wear and tear on my tires as 3 of them already fail inspection at only 9,000 miles.

I'd be amazed if the dealer replaced the tyres!

If BMW did this they would effectively be admitting there was a problem with the tyres and opening themselves to massive potential claims from other owners who were pissed at RFT's.
