ASA AR1 question...

Those of you guys running
19 x 8.5 F OS 40
19 x 9.5 R OS 39

ASA AR1's are you guys using spacers or do they offer these wheels
different offsets?

The only other offset for the rears is M3 fitting - 20mm. Too aggresive for me, especially if you plan to lower the car.

39 is fine, but at 12mm spacer would definitely make it look better.

Okay but what about the fronts.
That 40 offset puts the wheel 12mm closer to the strut.

Is there any rubbing issues if you hit a bump or dip?
What about rubbing when you turn?

And according to the wheel calculator on this site, the rears will be 15mm closer to the strut and stick out 11mm as well.

Is there rubbing issues in the rear then too if you have 2 or 3 other people in the car?

I'm not planning on lowering my car as it already has the sport package and am not going to spend the money to lower it just to drop it half inch.

More feedback would be great.

The fronts will not rub, you will be fine!

BTW, the half inch drop makes a nice difference!

Not referring to rubbing just on the outside, but on the INSIDE (strut or suspension) especially when people are in the back or going over a speed bump or such.
Since these wheels would ideally be offsets of 28-32 the wheels are pushed in closer to the inside, so that's where I'd be concerned about rubbing.

I don't want to run spacers...don't like them. Cars are not set up for them. Problems occur if they are removed and not seated correctly when put back on.
Some of the above reasons are probably why Tirerack doesn't sell spacers anymore.

For the rear wheel in the 19 x 9.5 R OS 39 size wihout any spacers, a 265/30-19 tire won't rub inside or outside, the setup i have which tirerack sold to me as a recommended fitment to that size wheel. With a 275 width tire, people have reported rubbing on the inside, probably the reason the this tire size doesn't come up as an option on tirerack.com when fitting tires to the rims.

someone needs to run spacers in the front and post pics and talk about how it doesn't ruin the ride

IMO no spacers needed. They are closer on the strut side because they are wider than stock, they are also closer on the fender side. No issues with clearance, trust me. Bear in mind I am not a big fan of spacers. See for yourself and decide...........

Nope, he has a staggered setup, it's just the offsets are higher, plus the design of the rims have a big lip in the front.

Will OEM BMW center caps fit the ASA wheels? If anyone has a set of AR2's on an E92, white if possible, please post.
JIMD1709, please post the tire sizes, wheel sizes with offsets that you are running. Did you buy your entire package from TireRack? Did they also install TPM sensors and valve stems? I am considering a set of AR2's, but can't decide on tires. I would like to run all season tires, probably in 18". What do you recommend?

BTW, your car looks great. I am planning to order an AW/saddle E93 next month.

Ok, here you go.

Front 235/35/19 Rear 265/30/19 Tires are Goodyear Eagle F1. In person they look very different front and rear. Tucked under the rear they look HUGE at 265 wide. I get stopped all the time by people wanting to know about the wheels. I tell them they were under $2k, and they think they were like 5 grand!

Ordered from tire rack. I think offsets are 39r/40f. I'm not sure. They'll send you the center caps no charge. If use their configurator it will list them. I am totally happy with them after a year or so. I like the AR2's as well, but they don't come in a staggered set-up. My car had a staggered from the factory (sport) so I didn't want to take that away. I didn't need the TPMS sensors for my sedan. When I installed them in the coupe I swapped them out. If you are ordering a new set-up, just have them install them. It's like $180 extra.

I'll try to post more pics in the next few days because right now they are on my new coupe and look even hotter!!
