Time from VPC to Dealer ?
Any information would be appreciated. I ordered a new 535i from BMW of Dallas June 28th and I've been following it closely through the production and shipping process. The car landed in Brunswick on August 2nd and my dealer is telling me that it is out of the VPC and was released to vehicle transport. I couldn't have been happier that it made it in and out of the VPC so fast. Now they tell me that it could be 2 weeks before it actually gets on a truck headed for Dallas. Does anybody have any real world experience with the amount of time it takes to get to the dealership once it is released from the VPC? Thanks - this is like watching grass grow...or the Rangers get sold.

I'm in the same situation (my car was on the Aegean Highway as well). BMW is using a new shipping/trucking company (no longer BMT) and there is far less information. Unfortunately it could be anywhere from 2 days to 2 weeks.
Note that my car is scheduled to be at my dealer in Atlanta on August 12, but this information is unreliable and subject to change (a 528i destined for the same dealer was in the system as scheduled at the dealer a day *before* the current day, and the car clearly wasn't there). |

My 535 got to port (Brunswick, GA) Aug 3rd and still no sign of it being released to dealer. I assume they are really backed up transportation wise. Anyone else getting this long of a delay?
