Angel Eyes as Day Running Lights

Hey Guys,

I have a E90 335i pre LCI and my DRLs are my high beams. How to I switch them to the Angel Eyes only?

Thanks!

I found a writeup in the DIY, but that looks like it's for cars w/o DRL and Welcome Lighting.

We should be able to tap into the current DRLs so the angel eyes light up right? Any way to get the AEs to light up as DRL, not in conjunction?

You can go with our Dæos harness which will enable the rings to come on all the time however the inner beam (DRL) is mandated by Canadian road regulations so there is no way to turn it off. You may be able to find a local dealer or independent shop to do it but most will not because of this regulation.

With the Dæos harness, you could at least have both the inner beam and the rings on all the time.

Ugh I know it's supposed to be a regulation but on my Audi's with the VagCom I was able to go change the settings to somewhere else in the world and to have them off all the time. Never ever got bothered because cops don't check for DRLs. I tough it would've been easier than this.

Maybe remove the bulbs and install resistances?
