Taillight tint removal

So i put tint film on my taillights a couple of months ago (at a tint shop, not that decal fx bs) so i could get that smoked out look now im getting tired of it. I was wondering how i could take off the tint film? would i have to remove the taillight lens first or could i just peel it off somehow?

i just peeled mine off when i traded in my car last week, just peel it off and any left over glue of adhesive just use goo gone and rub http://www.amazon.com/Goo-Gone-Autom.../dp/B002S4I79M
