What does it take to beat a C63 AMG
First off my car is a 07 steptronic and there has been a C63 trying to race my wife and I on several occassions. I know they are beasts and was wondering what type of modifications would I need to beat him. I am upgrading my Procede rev 1 shortly. Any help would be great.

You'll need a lot. If you are planning on running one tune only, you will get killed.
I ran close to even with one from 40 to 130-135 mph consistently (with shift bogging) with me taking 1/2 CL to me losing by 1/2 CL. At that time, I had a JB3, DCI, downpipes, meth. I have a Procede rev.2, gone with a bigger meth nozzle and added an intercooler since then. I will be running him again. For a stock family hauler though, the C63 AMG is one of the best values out there.

Stock 63, I'm guessing a bolt on 335 can beat it. After the 63 gets a flash you will need at least meth and a high map. Mind you the ECU prices have fallen considerably so a lot of 63s will go this route. If the 63 has LT headers, you will need to trap well over 120. LT headers are outrageous for this car like 3k & up so not everyone will be modded to this level.

pretty much bang on there! I run a stock one and i walk by everytime. Mind you i'm pretty much as bolted on as you can get... including meth.
Flashed ones are a bit tougher. I still roll by. Haven't come across one with headers etc but i have to admit. they sound awesome just stock! The engine sounds soo mean. |

Sounds like the majority so far thinks I need a different vehicle. I was afraid of that; I guess if you can't beat'em I may have to join them. There are a few used ones for sale around here. Really didn't want to go over to the Merc side.

That sounds so stupid...Just mod the hell out of your car instead of joining him and getting one! You really want to get him full bolt on with meth and nitrous and your gold!

I have full bolt ons and meth and walk all over them. Not sure about when they are tuned, but obviously that would be a little harder.
From a dig, traction and tyre quality play a big part |

You are right; I don't know what I was thinking? I will not go over to the other side without a fight!
