Availability of the style 230 wheels...

Im mostly set on getting 189's for my E92 coupe, but I do love the looks of the 19 inch style 230's. I saw them in person on a 335 coupe, and I thought they were absolutely stunning.

I sent an inquiry to bmwwheels.com (where I bought my 162's from for my E90), and they stated they are on national backorder and wont be released until late Jan/early Feb.

Can anyone else confrim this???

yes

I have mine on order since early NOV. and the parts manager said they were on backorder until further notice. Can't even order them from/in Germany either (only on factory ordered German cars). Just have to be patient until they are availble by themselves as a ordered part.

Didn't here that estimated date though.

Garage List
Bought my coupe at Chapman BMW -- and they plan to get the 230's for me, but also told me I would have to wait until Feb./Mar. timeframe to get them.

How much are you planning on paying for the 230's?

I emailed bmwwheels.com on the availability of the 230 wheels. This is the reply I got on Jan-15-2007 from Joe Lauretti <JoeLauretti@chapmanchoice.com>.

Will you guys carry the e92 star-spoke style 230 wheels? If so do you have an estimated time of when you will have them in stock and will there be an option to buy the Tire Pressure Monitor for each wheel? Thanks

"There is no time of arrival on the wheels so I do not know yet about the tire pressure monitor will be available."

Anyone know if they sell the wheels at Circle BMW with Tire Pressure Monitoring system or if they even offer it as an option?

Thanks

230's are optional in Canada. I have them coming on my 335. If you really want them, you could probably try a dealer in Canada.

I have had mine on order for a few weeks now. The difficult part is that even BMW AG shows they dont have any. I checked yesterday and it shows im the only one in the country with an order. More people need to order these so that there is a demand!

My parts department recieved the fronts today... But still no word on the rears. I will tell you that they look fantastic in person, and dont feel nearly as heavy as the 162's but I dont know exact measurements yet. Will get some soon.

Yeah............I do recall my parts guy saying (back in NOV.) that the fronts where available (in Germany). But no rears. I'm just gonna wait til I can get them all at once.

Still not available yet.
