Lightbulb E92 DIY D1S bulb Swap - 6000K

I just finish installing the new D1C bulb i received from ebay. They are McCulloch 6000K D1C bulb.

The new Bulb has a nice bluish tint to it.. but not as blue as my friend's 8000K.

Here are the tools needed:

8mm and 10mm socket wrench
t-20 Torex driver
new Xenon bulb

as any DIY... I'm not resposible for any breakage.... and make sure u remove the key from ignition. and light at off position.

1 Park the car at level place... and remove the front wheel...

6. Unplug the power from the bulb.. by wiggle it and gentally pull it downward.

7. Unhook the 2 clips holding the HID D1S bulb in place.. by carefully push it down and slide them inward..

8. Remove the OEM bulb and replace it with new bulb.

9. Re-secure the bulb with the clips

10. make sure again the power plug is secure plug back in.. as far as it go.. you should able to feel the click it it goes in.

11. start up the enging to make sure the new bulb can be lit up.

12. Remove the key from the car.. to make sure no power goes to HID.

13. Reverse all instruction... and put the fender back in. (Start the fender by the top... slide the top in first.. then when you are very close to fit in the buttom, you will need to slide them in in an angle...)

14. Admire your accomplishment....

AS far as some questions goes.. did i loose some brightness?

Hard to tell.. coz.. I also re-adjust the angle of the HID by counter-clock 2 full turn to make them aim a bit higher.. so I can't tell if the light dim abit.. but that 2 full turn make some nice distance on HID.

and its also a bit bluer then my other car... (Phillips D2S 6000K bulb in my FX35)

So since you say there's blue light do you think they would look better with the Mtec Cosmos Blue or the Mtec Super White?
I am trying to get some sort of contrast between the two...

Those angels don't look nearly as bright as my Super Whites--are they on in this pic? Or am I nuts?

I'm sure they are very bright--it is just hard to see the blue--but regardless, they do look nice.

They are not a strong blue by any means. The container says 4750k which is still in the white arena. For a real blue color you'll have to go a lot higher, like what Shinchan is trying to do to match the 6000k xenon.

So if you are looking for blue angel eyes, these are not your answer. And the Cosmos should be more blue than the Super White.
