Anyone Else w/ Mismatching Tires?
My 335i coupe has 2 different sets of tires on them (from the factory) - 2 tires are Bridgestone and 2 are Potenza. Also, the Bridgestones are on the front right and back left, while the Potenzas are on the front left and back right. Is this unusual, and if not, why are they like this?

Are you certain about the names? Potenza is one of Bridgestone's models. In particular the Bridgestone Potenza RE050A RFT is that BMW typically equips as a summer tire on 3'ers.

Are all the tires of the Bridgestone Potenza model? I'm not sure what you are really asking. Are 2 of the tires not Potenza models and the other 2 are? I'm pretty sure you might have just mislooked something when you looked at the tires, but if you didn't than I would take it back to the dealership and make them change them so you have the same tires. Good luck.

Are you sure they are directional? Now for sure there is no possible rotation from side-to-side. I just had the dealer rotate my tires from side-to-side and they had no problem. I also had an alignment done and was glad since 2 of my tires were out of specs!

maybe bridgestone just happened to be on the top of the tire on two and potenza on the other two, did you actually look and read all the way around the wheel? |

no, Bridgestone is potenza, potenza is bridgestone. think about it: if you could make tires cheaper as to not make them for each corner, but make them rotational in one way wouldnt you do it? it's just that on the side that says bridgestone it says potenza on the other side of the tire and vice varsa.
