Haven't tested them in the snow yet, but they are quiet. I know it isn't fair to compare new tires to tires with 20K miles, but the turanzas were noisy as hell after about 15k miles. There was plenty of tread left, no cupping, but way too noisy for my taste. My 156s will be my winter wheels now; I have a set of 189s ready to go for spring.
