91H REALLY needed?
06 E90 stock non-Sport. Wife drives most of the time, around town and on freeway. When I get it we drive a bit differently, and I sometimes bump up near triple digits, but not for sustained periods. We're in SoCal, and will probably rent/trade when we plan to go to snow-covered areas. Typiclly ~400lbs of passengers.
We only got 19K out of the Bridgestones, so I'm pretty sure I'm going to get non-RFT and carry a bottle in the back. Looking at tirerack, if I want to bump the treadwear significantly over 300, I need to drop to an 89(V or H). |

Just get non-rft and they will last longer. Personally, I'll never get another tire that's not at least y rated. I drive too fast.

yeah all the time. Lol.
Z is 149. But that rating is not what is a safe cruising speed, it's what top speed can you get to and not risk blowing out a tire right away. If I, hypothetically, cruise at 110 most of the time, I don't want a tire RATED for 110, or I'd be pretty likely to have a blowout. At that speed, that could hurt. |

I was more concerned with the weight rating than the speed rating. I can find a good choice of H, which is fine for our driving habits, since the bottle in the back will just be O2, not NOS
