Alekshop: FRM2 module coding - DONE!
Guys,
We are very happy to let you know that now all of you who are looking to get those nice LCI LED tail lights for e92/93 cars, don't have to spend extra $$$ on expensive FRM3 modules Today we were able to code 2008 M3 with FRM2 module . The Coding Index ( CI ) was 9 , which according to the other vendor working on the same project can NOT be coded. At this time, we will be offering coding of FRM2 and newer modules (FRM3) to all California customers. I understand that many of you non-CA guys are looking to get the same retrofit done without wasting extra money on a new FRM3. Please be patient as we are working on setting up remote coding which will allow you to get it done. Without your support and participation it would be hard to make it happen! Aleks. |

Here is a small video from today's coding session.
2008 M3 with 06/08 production date. You can see there is no flickering on start-up and no errors on the dash ... Sorry for the bad iPhone quality video ... Awesome stuff! I did mine about a month ago using some BMW software and a few people didn't believe me when I said it could be done!
Good to see this confirmed across the globe |

Super, one question, do you code remote? I'm interested if you can do welcome lights, or something above, on an FRM from an 10/2006 E90 ?
