You are talking about the N47 engine. You can find some info about the power change dates here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_N47 From that table it seems that the 177hp version was introduced in March 2007.

my wife has the 320xd. Pulls strong and very economic. More then fast enough for daily driving. 40mpg(US) is easy to achieve (with 4x4 and automatic, without 45mpg should be no problem).
However, I drove a 330 xd automatic for several days and it was using less fuel! Was doing 44mpg without really doing an effort. And the 330 really pulls! |
