"Expiration" Date for motor oil?

Hey guys,
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I was wondering if there is an expiration date on motor oil. I have a Previously opened half quart that has been sitting in my trunk for about 2 mths.

Is it still safe to use on the engine?

Thanks,

Not unless it's marked "refrigerate after opening"...

If the bottle cap was closed so that no dirt was able to get in, then you are good to go.
