550i in production today, is it too late to make a change?

My CA sent me an email today stating that my car went into production today and should be completed on 7/15. I ordered Dark Graphite Metallic but really wanted to change it to Titanium Siliver but he said it was too late. Is it really to late or early enough in the stage to have it changed?

I was in the same situation last month. My CA told me I could not make a change to the options because the car was already in production. I told him this was a deal breaker for me especially because the option I forgot was the DHP. Finally he agreed to give me another production slot.

Waiting for an extra week or loosing a few hundred bucks when you order a 70K+ car is well worth it if you get the options/spec you want.

BTW, my 535 is also a Titanium Silver. Good luck.

The Sales Manager called my cell today when I was working. He told me that it couldn't be changed but because Germany goes on vacation in August it would be October or November before I'd get a car if I chose to get a new order. Ofcourse, I can't wait that long. Also, I called the Customer Service number of BMWNA and the rep pulled up my order on his computer and told me the same thing.

its true. no production in august. also because of this, sep production is pretty much full. so you will get oct production (unless dealer already has something in the pipe) and nov/dec delivery.

i went with dark graphite (sophisto gray here) and think its far nicer than tiag.
