Turn Traction Control off on 335D
Hi there,
I've got an E92 335D and would like to know how to turn of the traction control. I've pressed the DSC button on the dash which highlights DSC light but if I give it some welly on a bend it still kicks in! Am i being stupid if i think if its off it should be off? Anyway, any help would be truly appreciated. |

press and hold for 7 or 8 secs and a circular warning symbol will light up in the dash, not the DSC symbol.
Watch out first time you get the back end out! A 335d will go with some style...! |

Tap the button once and DTC will light up on the dash warning panel and in small letters in the top display. Hold for 3 full seconds and the DSC symbol will light up in the warning panel (a triangle inside a circle, basically) and again in the top display of the dash.
Push the button once again to reset. |

Nearly lost the plot and my breakfast on the exit of a damp roundabout . The back end let go in a heartbeat and seeing as I lack sufficient experience and bottle to keep the throttle on and steer through it, I immediately backed off and instinctively steered into the slide. Fortunately there was nothing on my inside, but I bet the driver behind me had a laugh at my abysmal car control! So, with lesson well and truly heeded, I re-engaged maximum safety and continued gratefully and a bit more sedately on my way . |

I turn it off sometimes - definitely scary but if you are careful, it adds a whole new element to the cars handling. Not very tyre friendly but a lot of fun!

Running DSC fully off must create one heck of a 1 tire fire with all that TQ and no LSD to control it.
