Exclamation Procede v4 6-16 AutoTuning maps posted online

The beta mailing list got too big (over 400 people). So I posted up the goods publicly HERE

You will need to log in to the support forum to see the files. The concept of autotuning is very simple. And using it is even simpler (you don't really need to do anything). BUT, please read the documentation carefully if you haven't used AutoTuning yet. Because the functionality of the User Adjustable menu has changed somewhat.

And, as always, email me directly (shiv@vishnutuning.com) if you have any issues.

Cheers,
Shiv

Not that I need this feature - but others might.

The pic of the user adjustables menu on the Vishnu forum indicates that the default wastegate position is 90%.

However, your accompanying narrative describes the default as 100%.

When I uploaded the 6-16 maps, the setting was defaulted at 90% in my procede reader user adjustable menu.

Can we assume that 90% is the correct default setting?

Is 100% even an option then?

Yep... default is 90%. I fixed that bit in the post. Surprising no one of the other hundreds of people using these maps during the past week has noticed that

And yes, max value is 100.

what does this WG position mean or do? for example, if i have a WG rattle at 90%, then i start to lower this value to adjust how much WG opens/closes? am i understanding it right?

All those questions are answered in the documentation. But yes, these are the same maps/fw that I emailed out earlier today.

As explained in the email, no new features. Just cleaned up some stuff on the display end.

lol... it's no problem. Its just when i give info in two different places, it gets really hard for users to keep track of things.

You guys have no idea how much the release of autotune reduced tuning support email. No more analyzing datalogs all day. And no more giving basic tuning advice. Really frees up time to do development. And time for u guys to just drive instead of fiddling with laptops.

I'm currently testing progressive meth with full autotune. But I ran out of meth so testing is on hold until Monday . Looking really good though. Very cool too... I'll explain it next week.

Shiv found another little typo. In your explanation of user boost it says 100%=20% instead of 100% = 20psi. It's not a very big deal, but just thought I would let you know.

Shiv,

When i lower the wastegate position value , does it mean they are positioned more open during idle and light loads?

The car developed a nasty ratlle the last months , loaded the new maps yesterday and lowered the value to 45% . Ratlle is almost completely gone now. But now it sounds like how it was on the latest software update i got before i had the procede , wich means i have a more sporty exhaust note on light cruise and you can hear the pops in the exhaust when decelerating.

Thanks.

Yes, that is precisely what that adjustment does. Which is why it has the same effect on the exhaust note as the factory dme update "fix". But I think our implementation has far less of a negative impact on turbo response/lag.

The ideal solution is to fix the rattling wastegates, not to cover it up on the software side. But it's a good option for peopler who can't to that for some reason or another.

supradriver-- thanks for the heads up. I'll fix it later today
