Pics of Deep Sea Blue / Cinnamon Brown 535i
Here are the pics of my new car. I've chosen pictures to try to show off the color combination. That's the default interior trim in the U.S., Dark Burl. It looks kinda light in the sun, but in the shade it's pretty much black. These are the default wheels for the 535i Sport Package.

Stunning!
Grey headliner I assume? Could you post some pictures that show the contrast between the headliner and the cinnamon/black interior? Thx and congrats! Tim |

BIG congrats ... those pics are killing me ... 22 days to go!
Color looks great, to be honest I am not a fan of the color you chose but it all works well together and think you have a very unique color combination that really does look sharp. Happy to hear your enjoying your ride, continue to post pics and insight.

Thx for posting the pics, rare manual cinnamon brown interior pics. How did you find the cinnamon interior, do you think it might go better with anthracite headliner?

This car contains the gray headliner. I really wanted the Anthracite headliner, but my SA couldn't find the option code. By the time I saw the code posted online, the car had already been built! I would get the Anthracite headliner if you can with the Cinn Brown interior. My consolation is that I rarely look up and see the gray color.
I'm mostly liking the interior. My ideal color choice would have been Chestnut, but that's not available for the F10. I had Beige on my last car and wanted something different. I really don't like black interiors and I was worried gray would be too boring. Oyster was too close to beige for my tastes. The Dark Wood trim is OK for me. My second choice would have been the Anthracite trim. In the bright sun they would look different, but the interior is mostly shaded. In the shade, the Dark wood is practically black. So the big difference between Anthracite and Dark wood would have been the grain pattern. I'm happy with my choice. I'm completely satisfied with the exterior color. I had Monaco Blue on my last BMW and thought it was too dark. This is a much nicer color on my eyes. Much more "blue" and less "navy". I think Imperial Blue would be more like Monaco. In the shade, this color is darker. A little more subdued. But in the bright sun the color really comes out! Good thing I live in San Diego. BTW, this is after I washed the car and sealed it with JetSeal 109. JS109 is my favorite sealer. It gives the car a shiny, crisp look. Eventually, I might add some wax on top. That will soften the look a little. The dealer and prep center seemed to do a good job detailing the car. I see absolutely no swirls at all. So either they didn't screw up the paint or they used a glaze with fillers. I'll find out in a couple weeks I guess. Last edited by ibimmer954; 05-30-2010 at 09:02 PM.. |

With the MT, the area between the shifter and the dash is storage (ashtray) and power. There is one cup holder behind the iDrive controller. If you open the center console storage area, there is a plastic clip to help you place another cup. But if you have anything in the center console (the USB/Aux port is right there), you can't put another cup there. And you'd have to leave the center console opened. There's effectively one cup holder with the 6MT. I'm assuming there isn't enough area between the shifter and the dash for cups probably because of the shifter linkage. With the auto the shifter is electronic so all you'd need is a couple of wires. The MT would require an actual linkage.

I really like the Deep Sea Blue color in the first three pictures. In the others the exterior color looks washed out. Which ones are closer to the real color?
Thanks! |
