Just went to great lakes dragway...not the best expierience.
1st this has probably been the worst prepped and worst track i have ever been to in my life. The burnout box is on about a 30 percent angle uphill so you pretty much cant do a burnout without wheel hop or you need to be an auto to do a burnout. the track is on a uphill grade and prepped horribly. My best run was a 13.2 @109 with a 2.0 60ft witch is horrible. My last run in florida was a 12.8 @112 with a 2.0 60ft with no downpipes and no 2.0 beta. Is their any other tracks that are better than this?. a 12.5 srt8 jeep could only get a 13.2 out of the whole night.just letting you guys know PLEASE do not go to GLD.

Believe me i wish it was that simple. The car pulls extremly hard but no numbers to show for it, i basically added about 30-40 hp and got worse numbers.

hahaha, you can't compare anything up here to florida dude... winter is a bitch on a track surface. I can't say the prep shouldn't be good but again... its NOT 60 and sunny in mid january up here.
I promise it wasn't as bad as Route 41 last year with Eurocharged. |

yeah but there are also different environmental factors too. a car on a perfectly prepped track in arizona wouldn't run the same as the same track in florida just as it wouldn't run the same in NY or Chicago or Montana.

I think you need to think of it more like using different scales to measure your weight. Each scale is different and can be calibrated differently. So while you may weigh 150 on one, the other may show 155. The more important information is how your weight compares on the same scale at different points in time.
Use your recent experience as a benchmark for that track only and go back and compare after making changes to your car for comparison against the same variable.

I went up last year on stock potenzas rft (275 rears). It was hot as fuck out and got a 12.7 @ 111 w/ a 2sec 60'. Had dinan stgII, cat back and drop in filter.

Yea the uphill burnout box was always a deal breaker for me before getting a linelock... As mentioned in your moving post, the extra time spent going to Byron is well worth it.

Iam just pissed because this gto was talking shit to me and wouldn't do a quick street pull because he knew he was ganna get killed and he knew that he would Tree me at the track and then started talking shit when he did. yep intake tune exhaust 6.0 his best run was 13.5 but because he beat me on the tree he thinks his GTO is a beast i guess.
