Vishnu Xede Tuning

Anyone in this area interested in getting Shiv over here to tune your cars? I'm certain I can count on one other person and I believe we need 5 total.... Ultimate performance/Mach V has a Dynojet in Sterling that I'm pretty sure that he could use with enough notice.
So let's get this list started...

Yikes. I am about to order my 335 sedan, but I am not sure about the xede. I want to wait to see about how reliable the setup is...

Either way, keep me informed. I would love to see the tuning take place.

By the way all8up, where in Ashburn are you? Im in Ashburn Village...

If I have a 335i I'd do it

Even in stock form, the 335i is a potent machine, but fortunately, BMW left quite a bit on the table to work with. Through precise and methodical calibration with the XEDE interceptor computer, .... able to extract another 55-60whp and 70-80lbft of torque. ... monstrous gains are achieved with only two more pounds of boost from the cleaver factory twin turbo set up. For those that demand more of everything, the Vishnu Stage Subzero comes with the added safety of reworked fuel maps, which not only keep your motor running cooler, but also improves fuel economy. During testing, we have measured one to two mile per gallon increases during normal driving conditions. One drive with a Vishnu tuned 335i will remind you how throttle response should feel. And as with all of our products, we are proud to note that the drivability will remain as it did the day your car left the assembly line.

its interesting reading here http://www.vishnutuning.com/bmw_subzero.htm

heck w/ warranty

Im definitely for it, for all the readings Ive gathered it seems to have passed wuth flying colors. However, doing something like this with the famous 335i overheting issues seems to be a good concerns of mine...another is the voiding warranty. we'll see.

Time frame wise will likely be dictated by Shiv and Ultimate/MachV (dyno availability).

Here's the shop in Sterling...http://www.ultimatedc.com/

They use a Dynojet and it is built into the ground so no worries about hoisting a car up.

Yeah the car is already a potent machine, but I bought this car with every intention that I was going to bump it up a bit.

I am planning a 335i ED for the spring and would love to be included on the guest list if possible. I won't have the car yet; however, I am certain I will be doing at least the stage 0 from Shiv and would love to be able to see how everything is installed, so as to facilitate my own install if for some reason I am not able to gather a group at a later date. Don't mean to be a party crasher. I sold my '03 330cic a year ago and am dying in anticipation at this point. I would greatly appreciate an invite. Thanks

Nope I haven't heard back from Vishnu. Guessing the holidays and his already busy tuning schedule got him tied up...I'll keep everyone updated when I hear from him. Feel free to message him as well and refer him to this post.

I sent him another message today. One thing to consider...the early versions of the Xede come without the harness attached. It isn't difficult to attach the harness on, but I'm not the best with a solder gun and I don't like the idea of electrical tape holding wires together under the hood. So perhaps by the time his schedule frees up, Vishnu will address the harness and make sure it is attached to the Xede.

I had a Utec (similar to the Xede) on my WRX and the harness was attached to the unit.

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean about the harness? It is attached to the Xede. But instead of having a UTEC style patch harness, we just extract a few wires from the factory ECU harness and put a few wires (from the XEDE harness) in its place. Room doesn't permit the use of a new full patch harness a la UTEC. Once the ECU is exposed, the wiring works takes 3-4 minutes with no soldering, cutting or splicing involved. Tape (or shrink wrap) is merely used to insulate a male/female connector couple from shorting against anything.

Shiv,
Thanks for clarifying that for me.

Everyone,
Shiv mentioned that we should coordinate with the NE (NY/NJ/CT) group so he he can do both groups when he is on this side of the US. Take a look at their posting http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=38469&page=4
It looks like they are looking at April...

April is kinda far away. If you guys want it earlier, I'd be willing to make a trip out there just for this group
