E93 engine sizes.

Hi All,

does anybody know what the full range of engine sizes and model numbers will be when the E93 is released in the new year. I believe that initially (in the uk) there will be a 335i (3.0 twin turbo) and a 325i (which will actually have a slightly larger 3.0 litre engine that the 335i, i.e. 2996cc as opposed to 2979cc).

I've read that there will be a 330i but what engine will this have if the 325i already has the 3.0 litre.

The 325i gets the 3.0L with the single stage intake, like the former 325i and current 328i in the US and Canada. The 330i gets the higher output 272hp motor.

Also, regarding the 330i, I heard that it will actually debut the new naturally aspirated direct injected N53, but only in markets where the fuel is clean enough (not sure if that includes the UK).

The E93 325Ci is a detuned 3.0l with direct injection but no Valvetroinc! 218hp/199lb/ft
Expect to see 330Ci with 272hp/232lb/ft at a later date.
Also the 320Ci is a 4-cyl direct injection 177hp/155lb/ft
335Ci is same as E90/1/2
(Details from BMW Car Magazine)
