stanley park is good, then you can check out the sea wall, specially on a sunny day.

Enjoy the FOOD here! If you like steak, you have to visit gotham. I don't care what people say but gotham > mortons.
edit: If you like Japanese, don't miss going to one of the best in NA --> Tojo's @ Broadway |

drive to Squamish if not to Whistler. Awesome ocean scenic drive if you want to push your BMW a bit. Watch out for the cops though....Just push it in the corners not in top speed.

Right on thanks guys! Just got to Seattle a couple hrs ago(10 hr drive going 140 the whole way..)
I will defiantly hit up Stanley park and probably Robson st. for a bit of shopping with the little lady. I would love to rip up to Whistler or Squamish, ill have to see how much time i get during the day. Also, is parking in downtown van free on the weekends like most cities? I just want to make sure if i park somewhere i still have my car when i come back.

Weekend rate at Pacific Centre is $4.50 all day till 6pm.
My recommendation is EasyPark across from the Waterfront Hotel is $6.00 all day until 6am the following day, entrance on West Cordova. You can park there and do Gastown, Canada Place, Convention Centre, the Olympic Cauldron etc. before going up towards Robson (overrated but I guess it's a must for tourists...). You would probably want to head towards Granville Street and do a quick round there. If you don't mind walking, you might want to check out Yaletown and the Roundhouse area. But it will be a long walk back to the car, or alternately you can grab the Canada Line (sky-train) and get back that way, it's only a couple of stops... From there, you can drive to Stanley Park (turn left as you exit the parking lot and go straight down), do the loop and take the English Bay exit. Depending on time, you can either stick around that "happy" (I'm being politically correct if you know what I mean!!) area or go across the Burrard Street Bridge and do Granville Island and the Planetarium on the other side of the water. Think that should pretty much take up the day. If you want to go clubbing, head back towards Downtown or Yaletown. In terms of food, there are restaurants everywhere. If you want a nicer atmosphere with a waterview - try the Lift Bar and Grill or Cadero's in Coal Harbour, or the Boathouse at English Bay - love watching the sunset while dining there... Have fun
