Brake Pad replacement + US car

Two questions:
1) What is a good price for replacing rear brake pads in GTA (Oakville)?
I have a quote for $256 rear pads, $520 rear pads & rotors. $599 for front & rear pads. Stealership quoted $495 rear but I don't remember if this was pads only.

2) Car was originally a U.S. vehicle - would it be covered under warranty (i.e. can I drive to Buffalo and get it done for $0)?

Thx.

If the car is under warranty still yes going to buffalo should work. Call the BMW dealer in Buffalo, give them your VIN and they will check/confirm for you.

Only had time to email - here is the reply from Towne...

"For the given VIN, new car warranty is good thru December 12, 2010.
Bumper to Bumper covers most everything, except tires and alignments."

Just awaiting a confirmation of next steps then it's time to book a roadtrip

And in Canada, as a trade-off, we get front seat warmers standard

Got the appt booked. Told him the local dealer said rear were 1mm and front still had 3mm. He said policy is to only replace when it hits 2mm.
Got some heavy braking to do between now and then
