"...restricted from driving between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m."
I'm pretty sure the parking job happened during the day LOL..

Wouldn’t it be more important to make her take driving lessons? She seems to not know the difference between the gas and the brake.
I don’t see how restricting her driving will make her a better driver.

In addition, as much as people will say "how could you be that stupid?" you know, sh$% happens. The best driver can be stressed, tired have lots on their mind and still mess up. |

$500 fine is just plain retarded. The woman clearly have no clue what she was doing, instead of stepping on the brake she steps on the gas. Yes this time she didn't killed anyone, no guarantee next time she won't. I would say taking away her license or suspension is fair.

Funny you say that. I know someone who was in their early 20s, did pretty much the same thing. Saw a cat and to avoid the cat, lost control of the car by slamming on the gas instead of the brake....smashed into another car and overturned a street light pole on the street...that person was charged with dangerous driving but it got reduced. $250 fine, 3 demerit points. No license suspension or restrictions at all. Driver was a G2 licensed driver in Ontario.....the judge deemed it to be an accident and was lenient since it was their first offense...the defendant also had a lawyer as well.....the only bad thing? insurance was skyrocket for a good 5 years....since the driver was under 25 at the time....
