Motul 8100 Synthetic for an E92 328i?

Booked an appointment with a fairly reputable shop for an oil change here in the GTA. It's just marginally more expensive than a self-job ($80 + taxes), so I figured it's worth being hassle-free.

Anyway, owner said he'd be using Motul 8100 Synthetic - a 540. I'm not of a keener when it comes to engines and oils, but does this raise any red flags for anyone???
