bsh catch can for 335i attempted GB

I have spoken with Andrew at redline and tried to get better pricing for the bsh catchcan for some members. He gave me a price shipped to him in mississauga including taxes and such. 265 is if we get if 5 guys buy and we would pick up from him in mississauga.
If there is anymore interest, lets say 10 guys im sure we could get a better price landed.

Let me know.

...what you want is an Air/Oil separator, not an oil catch can.

Air/Oil separtor essentially does the same thing. It's OK to use this but make sure the materials including the internals are rated for the high temperature gases that it will be subjected to. Also, most have a glass bowl which I know of one that cracked.

OCCs designed for autos are metal and more compatible with the extremes it will encounter. I bought my OCC from a Corvette specialty shop and sourced the hoses and adaptors from an auto parts manufacturer. It is rugged and compact which it needs to be in our tight engine compartment.

From what I've seen the BSH one is a much better designed one than other (cough.. cough... r#ss) one.

That is a STi specific one, but just an example of what they are.

A/O separators are not limited to the subbie crowd... Any Turbo charged vehicle that may encounter turbo blow-by will benefit from one... heck, we had five MEs spent over 100 hours designing one for our Formula SAE kart.

I'm sorry.

An OCC is not, and will not perform nearly as well as a well designed A/O separator. Baffles and a large Surface area is needed to allow the oil to liquify. Trust me, we have 5 senior engineers researching, analyzing, developing and producing ours.

I do understand the tight engine compartment argument tho, used to have a e46s myself.

Back to work!

Any particular reason?

I'm looking at getting this for a 335is. The driver's side install for the AR Design OCC won't work due to the fan relay, and I don't want to relocate the vacuum canister on the passenger side. So I think the BSH OCC is the only viable option. Not interested in the RR OCC.
