Just wanted to say hi over here on these forums.. I have a feeling this forum will be the end of me in terms of modding my new car.

This is my 3rd BMW, went from a X5 to a 745i to my new to me 08 CPO 335i.

It's Saphire Black/Red Leather, 6MT, Nav, Cold Weather, Premium, Sport, Active Steering, PDC.. I think it's got the works. So fun to drive.. I was worried I'd be missing out coming from my beloved 7.. Guess not, I really like this car a lot.

So onto my plans and how you all can help a newbie out..

First I want springs and rims.. BBS LM's or Work VS-XX.

Also, ECU.. not sure I want to void the CPO warranty just yet.. but would like to hear any ideas on how to accomplish not voiding it if possible, or if there are any dealers down here that are "mod-friendly"

Debating a blow off valve.. and that's pretty much it for now.

Nice choice, i have the exact same car ('07) minus the active steering and PDC. Do you have the OEM spoiler? Hows the driving style different from your 7 ?

LMs or VS-XXs, can't go wrong with either. Both beautiful wheels. I'd go with the Works and change it up a bit since everyone and their mothers have LMs/LM reps.

As for the ECU tune, the BMS JB3 is a popular choice. You won't regret it. Just take it out or set it to Map 0 whenever you go in for service.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on the E92! BSM/CR is a beautiful color combo. Be sure to post some pictures as the car progresses.

I don't have the OEM spoiler, it's a coupe too.. forgot to say that. The 7 is probably one of the ultimate luxury sedans.. for it's size it's fast and handles well.. again, for it's size. It's a beast though.. takes up a lot of room and is not as "user friendly" as the 335 is. Completely different animals.. both are so sick, just was having separation anxiety with my 7 since I did love that car.. but 104k on it.. no warranty, it was time to make a move. The 335i was a great choice for me.

Thanks for the info on the JB3, might have to do some more reasearch on it.. I just want to make sure the warranty doesn't get voided. I heard that now BMW centers can find out if the fuel map's and boost have been changed.. hopefully there's a work around.. i want some of the hp I've seen some get here.. but w/o voiding my CPO.

I've had my hearts set on LM's.. but you may have a point with the amount of people who have them. I still want them though.. Thought the VS-XX's would look pretty cool.. you know the price diffs?

Gotta get rid of my 22's from my 7.

Yeah.. I bought the car to ideally save on my monthly.. and also get that CPO warranty. I've had the car two days and I'm already trying to find H&R's, wheels, and an ECU/BOV.

Congrats and welcome, I'd definitely recommend Work VS-XX, they're my favorite wheels. As for the ECU, if you don't want to mess with the ECU itself, I'd recommend a ECU flash, I will be getting one next week.

As you may have read, many fanatics are getting their warranty voided b/c of aftermarket performance mods. Go OEM BMW performance line IF you can stomach the cost. There are obviously less expensive and probably better performance-gain mods, but for me, peace of mind from OEM parts is number one.
